On Saturday we found the right setup after a few changes.
On Sunday we had the qualifications. The First qualification didnâ™t go so well, I made a lot of mistakes. The second was better, we put on different tires and it was better. In the third I pushed too hard and made some mistakes again, and I got the 4th spot after the qualification.
In the semi final I started second and was able to hold that position for some time. Unfortunately for Bart Mullink his engine stopped and I took over the first spot. A few minutes before the finish I had to hit the brake because I had to pass someone and he made a mistake. I didnâ™t want to jump the jump but I had a little too much speed and flip over. The engine stopped because of that. When I got back on the track I was in 6th spot and was able to finish in 5th position and that gave me 7th spot in the main final.
In the main final I started from 7th position, but made a mistake and dropped down to place 12th. Soon I came back to the 2nd position. The car was super and Wesley v Helmond who was in the lead made a little mistake so I got closer. But I also made a mistake and my engine stopped but the marshal was able to put the car in the pit lane and so my dad made a quick refuel and start the car. I came back on the 4th position and soon made it 2nd place and held it till the end.
I am very happy with my new XB8'16.
